Fall is Here

I just got back from our annual week in Grayton Beach, FLA with my family for the kids’ break from school. I was welcomed back by my good friend, Fall in full swing.

Fall is my favorite time of year for so many reasons, not the least of which is how I get to “fall” in love with the world around me again. The beauty is almost surreal like where does Mother Nature find those colors. And it's crazy to think things will only be this way for a little while. Sometimes on a Sunday afternoon when the leaves are gently blowing around and the breeze is whispering sweet somethings at me, I am struck by the way I remember how lucky I am to have a beautiful wife who loves me, and does everything for this family; a strong independent 13 year old daughter who looks more like her mother every day; and a brilliant, sensitive 14 year old son who just started high school, and is teaching me new things all the time. For me, Fall is a time for change, for taking stock, for counting blessings, and for fresh starts and looking back at the things I sometimes move too fast to enjoy...
